Popular small-screen duo Ziaul Faruq Apurba and Naznin Nahar Niha are set to reunite for a new drama after a few months break.
The pair has previously delivered several successful dramas, including “Monduari”, “Meghbalika”, “Ghran”, and “Ochena Ami”, all of which have surpassed 10 million views on YouTube. They were last seen together as a married couple in the Eid-ul-Azha drama “Mayapakhi”, directed by Jakaria Showkhin. The drama has already crossed 21 million views on YouTube.
Since then, there had been no news of the duo working together. Apurba spent an extended period in the United States with his family, while Niha also focused on her family. Niha recently announced her engagement in a Facebook post, with reports suggesting that she may tie the knot later this year. As a result, both artistes remained relatively inactive in acting.
Now, the audience-favourite duo is returning to the screen together. The title of their upcoming drama, written and directed by S R Mozumder, has yet to be finalised.
Shooting of the project began in late August and is expected to continue for around 12 days. The first phase of filming has already been completed in different locations in Cox’s Bazar, while the remaining scenes will be shot in Dhaka.
According to the director, the drama explores time, relationships, misunderstandings, and the emotional conflicts that arise within ordinary family life. However, those misunderstandings gradually lead to a deeper mystery.
Apurba and Niha will portray a married couple in the drama, while Abu Hurayra Tanvir will appear in a guest role. The production has an approximate runtime of two hours and will be released on a YouTube channel.
Apart from this project, the duo is also set to appear in two other upcoming dramas, raising expectations among their fans for more collaborations.
